LASIK at ReVision
What is LASIK?
The most common type of laser vision correction is LASIK. This procedure is suitable for a wide range of nearsightedness, farsightedness, and/or astigmatism. With LASIK, a laser is used to reshape the cornea to adjust your eye’s focusing ability in 4 steps.
How it Works
- A protective flap is created using a precision computer-guided laser.
- The protective flap is opened to expose the front of your cornea.
- A permanent shape change is created by a laser on a cornea.
- The flap is returned to its original position and heals on its own.
What to Expect
The entire procedure typically takes a few minutes with actual laser time measured in seconds. After LASIK, normal activities can usually be resumed the very next day including driving for the first time without glasses or contacts for many Patients.
