Honoring Veterans Who Give So Much

Columbus Ohio is so fortunate to have a national treasure right in its backyard. The National Veterans Memorial & Museum is a special destination that pays tribute to all Veterans from all branches of service, and all eras of our nation’s proud history of military service.

HONORING WWII VETERANS AND THE ‘COMBAT CONARTISTS’

The NVMM welcomed the opening of an intriguing new exhibit – Ghost Army – and hosted an extensive list of Memorial Day events while being recognized as the ReVision Gives Back program’s May honoree. ReVision was excited support and bring more visibility to these and more exciting opportunities at the museum. WATCH VIDEO to learn more about Ghost Army Exhibit.

The Ghost Army exhibit was especially meaningful to Dr. Schumer. The exhibit tells the story of the first mobile, multimedia, tactical deception unit in U.S. Army history. This unit was charged with spreading misinformation to throw off the enemy and their efforts played a large role in the WWII Allied victory. Dr. Schumer’s father also served in WWII as a bomber pilot and was shot down in combat behind enemy lines. Fortunately, he and his crew were able to land the plane and ultimately made it home safely but his story is harrowing. Dr. Schumer recounts the story of his father’s WWII experience IN THIS VIDEO.
