Helping OSU Students Bring Vision Care to Jamaica

Fellowship of Christian OptometryReVision LASIK and Cataract Surgery is proud to support The Ohio State University College of Optometry’s Fellowship of Christian Optometrists (FCO) program. Each year, this group of OSU students travels to Jamaica over their Spring Break to work with the Mission of Sight.

FCO’s Mission

During this inspiring trip, students further their education and gain real world experience by working alongside Optometrists, Ophthalmologists and other vision care professionals. Together, the team provides much needed eye care and surgical procedures to under-served Jamaica communities. Funds donated by ReVision Gives Back will assist in the group’s travel expenses.

ReVision’s Special Connection with FCO

The Fellowship of Christian Optometrists program is near and dear to ReVision LASIK & Cataract surgery. Dr. Schumer has been part of the program for many years and traveled to Jamaica to donate his own surgical skills. He and the ReVision Team have had the pleasure of meeting and mentoring many FCO students on each trip. Many students continue their relationship with ReVision by shadowing Dr. Schumer in surgery at his Columbus and Mansfield practices.

ReVision LASIK and Cataract Surgery is honored to support the good works of The OSU College of Optometry’s Fellowship of Christian Optometrists program and their dedication to paying it forward to communities in need.
