Giving Back to The Bridge to Support First Responders

The dedication, expertise and selflessness of first responders make our communities safer every day. They deserve unlimited gratitude and that’s why ReVision Gives Back is honored to support the outstanding work of The Bridge.

Founded by local retired police officers Mick Yinger and Michael Pavolino after the tragic deaths of two Westerville, Ohio officers in the line of duty, The Bridge helps first responders and their families deal with job-related stress. Since 2016, first responders have succumbed to more suicide related deaths than line of duty deaths. The Bridge is working to tirelessly to stop this heart-wrenching trend.

The Bridge provides 3-day specialized retreats for police, fire and dispatcher first responders and their spouses in a relaxing environment to encourage positive mental health and coping techniques. Retreats are provided free of charge and include beneficial curriculum to help take first responders from hurting to healing. Sessions include medical professionals speaking about the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and peers and spouses sharing personal accounts of being in similar situations and how they persevered.

ReVision Gives Back The BridgeReVision salutes all first responders and The Bridge’s commitment to helping those who give so much to others. Our ReVision Gives Back donation will help bring expense-free retreat experiences to more first responders so their focus can be on healing. As a practice, we thank members of the police, fire, EMS and military by extending a special First Responder Rate for LASIK that can also be enjoyed by immediate family members. Freedom from glasses and contacts provides added comfort to first responders when wearing required professional gear and can also enhance job safety and performance.
